Susan uses only oil paints on the finest Belgium linen for all her work. All of the people in her paintings are real subjects, people she knows as well as family members. Many of Susan's past and present projects include portrait painting for movies, Disney Studios, for Heads of State in her State Capital (Raleigh, NC) and various families across the United States.

If you imagine yourself, family and/or pets in a specific setting, Susan can guarantee that your portrait will be an exact replica from any photos she would work from. Susan also uses her artistic eye, playing with colors and brush strokes that result in a painterly look and not a flat photo-realism. You can supply your own photos or Susan will take them herself, which allows her to create unique lighting and an interesting atmosphere.
